Being in a state of good health allows us to live longer in the absence of disease or illness. Due to living an unhealthy lifestyle many people, mainly through ignorance, suffer with illnesses and diseases for decades as they approach the end of their life. Instead of being like sheep we can take our life into our own hands and live in a state of complete physical and mental well-being. Enjoying life and dying peacefully.
What is a Healthy Lifestyle?
Diet: Previously we have been taught to eat 3 meals a day, snack in between meals and that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We were told to eat low fat foods and carbohydrates. The latest research now shows that good fats, avoiding sugar and regular fasting has amazing benefits for overall health. Avoiding sugars means cutting down or preferably cutting out on consuming pasta, rice, bread, processed foods, fruits(fructose) and toxic cooking oils. In fact we can cut these foods out of our meals all together as the body does not need extra carbohydrates and can make its own.
Exercise: Getting regular exercise. As well as the common and well known forms of exercise there is also Qigong. Qigong is fairly new to the West and is an important part of Chinese Traditional Medicine. Qigong is suitable for all ages and physical capabilities. Learn about Qigong (Chee Gong) here.
Qigong is a Moving Meditation and very easy to preform.
